III. Conditions for Applying for Chinese Permanent Residence

According to the relevant provisions of the "Measures for the Administration of Examination and Approval of Foreigners' Permanent Residence in China", applicants need to meet one of the following conditions to apply for Chinese permanent residence:

• Family Reunion:
  • Unmarried children under 18 years old relocating to join their parents in China.
  • Having no direct relatives outside China and relocating to join direct relatives in China, being aged 60 or above, having resided continuously in China for five years, with a residence period of not less than nine months each year.
• Other Conditions: Possessing a doctoral degree or being a foreigner of Chinese descent working in China.
